Children are subjected to severe exploitation and abuse under dire conditions. With the continuous rise in poverty across Iran, the issue of child labor is escalating at an alarming rate. These children are often forced into domestic labor, drug trafficking, smuggling, and even sexual exploitation.
Official statistics indicate that there are approximately 7 million child laborers in Iran. In certain provinces, the average age of children engaged in waste scavenging is as low as 12 years old.

In addition, we aim to support these families by helping them access jobs or other income-generating opportunities, ensuring they have the tools to become self-sufficient in the long term.
